Zionsville Fire Called Out Saturday Night

At approximately 11:20 pm on Saturday, November 23, the Zionsville Fire Department was dispatched for a report of a fire alarm in the area of CR 900 East just south of SR 32 in rural Zionsville. When the initial fire engine arrived to investigate the fire alarm, the firefighters found smoke coming from the building and upgraded the incident to working building fire.

Additional fire crews from multiple departments were dispatched to assist on the fire. The location of the fire was in an area without fire hydrants, requiring tanker trucks to haul water to the scene. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported.

The auxiliary building was a total loss, with preliminary damage estimate of $500,000. The fire is under investigation.
