The Zionsville boys swim team finished in 4th place at this year's state finals meet in Indianapolis on Saturday. Individually, Zionsville’s Walker Mattice claimed the titles in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:36.86 and the 100-yard freestyle in 44.26. Mattice was also named the Herman F. Keller Mental Attitude Award winner. “It’s such a big honor and I really wasn’t expecting it,” Mattice said. “It really makes everything pay off, not just the swimming, but the community service I’ve done over the last couple of years and the work in the classroom.” Carmel won their 10th-straight IHSAA Boys Swimming and Diving title.
