The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department celebrate 2 of their officers successfully graduating from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Friday evening. Officers Tyke Cockerham and Joey Crider have worked diligently over the last 16 weeks as students at ILEA. They studied and were tested over various topics in the field of law enforcement including: Criminal Law, Traffic Law, Firearms, Emergency Vehicle Operation, Defensive Tactics, Strategies and Tactics Of Patrol Stops, Active Shooter, Standard Field Sobriety Tests, Report Writing, and much more.
