This morning at approximately 8:00 at Frankfort High School there was a student altercation and a gun fell out of a student’s waistband. The students present immediately alerted the school resource officer. The student was immediately detained and isolated. A small caliber handgun was found. The handgun was unloaded. No ammunition was found on school property. Multiple officers and detectives responded. The student is in custody. This resulted in Frankfort High School being placed on Lock Down. Frankfort police officers felt it necessary to place the middle school on lock out as a precaution. Frankfort police will be releasing more information.
