A student at Western Boone Junior-Senior High School will not face criminal charges after an investigation revealed no threats were made toward students and staff at the school.
According to a release from the Boone County Sheriff's Office, on Oct. 16 the administration at Western Boone informed the Boone County Sheriff's Office about concerning internet searches and a document found on a student's computer. The document allegedly contained threats directed toward specific students and staff members at the high school. On January 2, 2025, the BCSO said further investigation determined no threat was communicated by the student to any other student, staff member or person associated with Western Boone Schools.
The BCSO said the investigation is complete and the case has been closed with no charges pending.
