Mark your calendars for the first ever seed swap at the Frankfort Library on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m.–noon in Harry’s Coffee Bar. The event is open to all ages, and no registration is required.
What is a seed swap? It is exactly what it sounds like! Bring in your extra plant seeds to trade with your fellow garden enthusiasts. This is a fun, inexpensive way to add some variety to your garden.
Flower, herb, and vegetable seeds are all welcome. Please ensure your seeds are packaged, labeled, and less than two years old. Refrain from bringing invasive species, such as purple loosestrife and Japanese honeysuckle, to the swap. The Indiana Invasive Species Council maintains a full list of plants to avoid on the Purdue University website.
