The Humane Society for Boone County’s wonderful Santa Claws loves to pose for holiday photos with dogs and cats and people of all ages too! He will be at the 10th annual “Whiskerfest Holiday Craft Show and Pet Photos with Santa” event on December 7 at the Indianapolis Car Exchange, 5161 S. Indianapolis Road, in Whitestown. Admission and parking are free. “Whiskerfest” hours are from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Santa will greet people for photos with or without their pets from noon until 4 p.m. beside the decorated tree. Photos are $20 for a print as well as a digital image that can be used for seasonal greeting cards. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society for Boone County and The Arc of Greater Boone County. More than 50 vendors including The Arc Artisans will display their unique craft creations and festive merchandise to help with holiday gift shopping. HSforBC will have a booth with items for sale to benefit the shelter. Other vendors will display a variety of holiday gifts and Christmas décor. HSforBC volunteers will greet shoppers, assist Santa with photos, and help people meet cats and kittens available for adoption. “Whiskerfest” is always a favorite event for HSforBC volunteers, who hope lots of people will join them and support the Humane Society’s mission of rescuing homeless and surrendered dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.
