Robert W. Rowe, Jr.

Robert W. Rowe, Jr., 68, of Lebanon, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 2 at his residence. The son of Robert W. and Anetta A. (Hepler) Rowe, Rob was born June 29, 1956 in Tullahoma, Tennessee. His family moved to Zionsville where he met the love of his life, Marcia Grizzle in fifth grade. Rob and Marcia were joined in marriage on August 30, 1974 in the living room of her parent’s home. It was a loving union that lasted nearly fifty years producing two sons, Jason and Jeremy. Rob was an avid collector; his collections included coins and Lionel pre-war model trains. His hobbies included woodworking, restoring antique cars (even though they never finished one) and Persian cats. Rob worked as an architectural carpenter, most recently for Brandt Construction. His family was very important to Rob, especially his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ann Rowe of Westfield; wife, Marcia; sons, Jason (Stacy) Rowe of Fishers and Jeremy (Leslie) Rowe of Coatesville; brothers Michael (Kathy) Rowe and Jeffrey (Cindy) Rowe, both of Westfield and his grandchildren, Isabella and Finnley Rowe. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Rowe and brother, Steven Rowe. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, August 7 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Ewing officiating in the Strawmyer and Drury Mortuary, 2400 N Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Rob will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery, Zionsville. You are invited to visit the website www.strawmyerdrury.com where you may sign his online register and leave a personal message. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3 International Drive, Suite 200, Rye Brook, NY 10573.
