Mr. Richard Salvatore, 68, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. He was born November 21, 1954, in Canton, Ohio, a son of the late Anthony and Phyllis (Edwards) Salvatore. On August 29, 1981, he was united in marriage to Julia Ann (Powell) Salvatore, she survives. Richard served in the United States Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany from 1972-1974. After serving in the army, he moved to Lebanon and worked for Sysco Foods and then retired in 2013. His greatest joy was helping at his church and was affectionately known on the church van as “Captain Rick.” Richard also enjoyed being with his family and loved watching his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his two sons, Shane Salvatore of Anacortes, Washington, and Alec Salvatore of Brownsburg; grandchildren Laeklyn, Hudson and Steele Salvatore; brothers, Tony (Elaine) Salvatore of Lancaster, Ohio, Gary Salvatore of Huston, Texas, Joe Salvatore of Atlanta Georgia, Danny Salvatore of New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Davy Salvator of Ohio; his sister Linda (Ernie) Skillens of Westminster, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Kim Salvatore. Richard will be laid to rest at Hopewell Cemetery in Lebanon and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Myers Mortuary has been entrusted with his arrangements.
