Pearl Ann (Lewis) Morrell, 81, of Lebanon, Indiana passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Crown Pointe Assisted Living in Lebanon, Indiana. Pearl was born in Indianapolis on April 14, 1943, to the late Frank M. and Mildred P. (Beach) Lewis. Pearl lived in Boone County since the mid-60’s, raising five children. Leading by example how important education is, she was a 1976 graduate of Western Boone. Pearl volunteered her time for many years with Boy Scouts of America Pack 350 and even held positions at district and state levels. She was also the “Cookie Mom” with Girl Scouts Troop 784. Known to many as Nanny, Pearl babysat many children from her home for many years. She later retired from Kauffman Engineering and at the age of 79, she retired from Wal-Mart’s shoe department. Pearl had a passion for planting and caring for her flower and fairy gardens she created. She also had a deep love for Christmas and embraced it at any time of the year. In her free time, she enjoyed Sudoku, crocheting, reading, working puzzles, and spending time with family. Pearl will be forever missed by her children, Daniel (Debra) Fowler of Morgantown, Jonathan Humphress of New Mexico, Angela Humphress (Charles Lewis) of Lebanon, Adam (Rebecca) Morrell of Lebanon, and Rebecca (Chris) Ellis of Lebanon; grandchildren, Ammon (Meagan) Davis III, Matthew Humphress, and Cody Fowler; great grandchildren, Nathanial Baumgardt, Bentley Davis, and Hunter Davis; siblings, William Lewis of Morgantown and Benjamin Lewis of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her brothers, James Lewis and Jon Johnson; sisters, Dorthea Gentry and Helen Case; and late husbands, Robert Fowler, Kenneth R. Humphress, and James W. Morrell. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Myers Mortuary 1502 N. Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. She will later be laid to rest in the Spring of 2025.
