Mrs. Patsy L. “Pat” Thomas, 85, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Homewod Health Campus in Lebanon. Pat was born September 26, 1937, in Hoopeston, IL, a daughter of the late Cecil and Omie (Owensby) Reed. She married Hoyle Thomas on December 10, 1955, and he preceded her in death April 4, 2017. Pat had worked for the Indiana Bell Telephone Company for 29.5 years, and also enjoyed creating and selling ceramics from her shop, along with Longaberger baskets. She also loved to go RVing with her husband, Hoyle, and also loved collecting “Gone with the Wind” memorabilia. Pat enjoyed to study U.S. history. She was a faithful member of the Central Christian Church. Survivors include her brother-in-law, Lowell Dean (Sue) Thomas of Johnson City, TN; sisters-in-law, Barbara Thomas of Bradenton, FL and Debbie Thomas of Leesburg, FL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and loving husband of 61 years, Pat was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Reed Thomas; sister-in-law, Mildred (Harold) Strong; and brothers-in-law, B.A. (Audrey) Thomas, Ronald Thomas, and Austin Thomas. Family and friends will gather Wednesday, June 21, for visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Central Christian Church, 311 E. Main Street, Lebanon. Pat will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Central Christian Church.
