The game is a rematch of the gold medal game at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Team USA is going for its eighth straight gold medal overall. The squad is led by WNBA superstars A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart [[ Bree-ANN-uh ]] as well as 42-year-old Diana Taurasi, who is appearing in her sixth Olympics. >>Biles Leads U.S. To Women's Team Final; Men's Team Final Today (Paris) -- Simone Biles fought through adversity as she led Team USA to the finals of the women's gymnastics Olympic competition. Biles left the floor for a short period of time due to left leg discomfort, but still led her subdivision. Suni Lee will be joining Biles in the all-around individual final tomorrow after finishing second. The men's team final is today with Team USA looking for its first medal since winning bronze back in 2008. The men haven't won a team gold medal since 1984. >>U.S. Women's Soccer Wins Again (Paris) -- The U.S. women's soccer team blew out Germany 4-1 to improve to 2-and-0 at the Paris Olympics. Sophia Smith netted a brace after scoring in the 11th and 44th-minutes. The ladies lead Group B with six points and will kick off against Australia in their next match on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the U.S. men's soccer team will face Guinea in its next game tomorrow. >>Team USA Adds Gold, Silver And Bronze In Swimming (Paris) -- More medals are heading home for Team USA from the pool. Carson Foster finished third in the men's 400 meter individual medley to capture the bronze medal. In the women's 100 meter butterfly, Torri Huske and Gretchen Walsh finished first and second to win the gold and silver. Nic Fink also took home a silver medal after tying for second in the men's 100 meter breaststroke. Five more medal events are on tap in swimming today. >>U.S. Women Win Gold And Silver In Fencing (Paris) -- Americans Lee Kiefer and Lauren Scruggs took home the gold and silver medals in women's fencing on Sunday. Kiefer beat Scruggs 15-6 in the women's foil individual final to earn her second straight Olympic gold medal. Scruggs, who earned the silver, made history after becoming the first ever Black U.S. fencer to win an Olympic medal in an individual women's event.
