U.S. Men's Basketball Blows Out South Sudan (Paris) -- Team USA men's basketball team is still undefeated after they rolled past South Sudan 103-86 in the second game of the group phase. Bam Adebayo led the Americans in scoring with 18 points. Kevin Durant chipped in with 14 points and LeBron James recorded a dozen. The U.S. is now leading Group C with four points and will wrap up the group phase against Puerto Rico on Saturday. Meanwhile, the women's team plays its second game today against Belgium. >>U.S. Women's Soccer Tops Australia, Advances To Quarterfinals (Paris, France) -- The U.S. women's national soccer team finished 3-and-0 in group play after holding off Australia 2-1. Trinity Rodman and Korbin Albert each scored a goal for the red, white and blue. Naeher managed to stop one of the two shots she faced on goal. The women clinched Group B with nine points to officially qualify for the quarterfinals. The Americans will face Japan in the quarters on Sunday. >>Americans Come Up Short In Men's Gymnastics All-Around Final (Paris, France) -- The United States came up short in its effort to add a medal in the men's gymnastics all-around final. Paul Juda and Frederick Richard finished outside of the top 10 in the competition. Juda was 14th and Richard finished 15th. Simone Biles and Suni Lee will be competing in the women's all-around final today. >>U.S. Women Take Home Gold And Silver In Swimming (Paris) -- The U.S. earned a pair of medals in women's swimming finals at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday. Katie Ledecky lapped the competition in the pool once again with a gold medal finish in the 1500-meter freestyle. She set a new Olympic record with a time of 15:30. It was Ledecky's eighth career gold medal and 12th medal overall, both tying the women's record. Meanwhile, Torri Huske earned silver in the 100-meter freestyle for her third medal in Paris. Five more medal events are tap today in the pool. [[ Watch for dating ]] >>Olympic Men's Golf Begins Today (Paris) -- Four of the United States' best golfers will be teeing off today in the first round of the men's individual stroke play at the Paris Olympics. Two-time Masters champion and current world number one Scottie Scheffler, 2023 U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark, two-time major champion Collin Morikawa and two-time major winner Xander Schauffele [[ ZAN-der SHAWFF-lee ]] are representing the U.S. Men's golf is a four-round event held like a traditional PGA Tour event from Thursday-to-Sunday.
