The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Indiana Hoosiers will battle in the opening round of the NCAA College Football Playoff. The game will be Friday, December 20th at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend with the kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. The winner will advance to the Sugar Bowl to play Georgia. Notre Dame finished 11-and-1 with their only loss coming to Northern Illinois, while Indiana also finished 11-and-1 with their only loss coming to Ohio State. The last time the two played was in 1991, with the Fighting Irish winning 49-to-27.
