Nolan LeRoy Hinkle

Nolan LeRoy Hinkle, 69 of Indianapolis, passed away January 13, 2025 in the hospital surrounded by his loving family. 

Nolan was born on August 11, 1955 in Indianapolis, the son of the late Henry and Gladys Hinkle. He graduated a step behind his mother, in 1974 from Thorntown High School.

 

Nolan married, Karen Sue Ferguson on October 19, 1987, later they went their separate ways.

He was a hardworking man, dependable employee at several different jobs, until finally ended up at Deflecto corporation as a forklift driver until his retirement.

 

In Nolan’s spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his parents and spending as much time with them along with friends, family and dinners. He enjoyed spending time with his long-time friends; Paul Ragan, Andie Lawrence and others.

 

Survivors include sisters, Darlynda Klingele, Mountlake Terrace, Washington, Deanna (Mark) Garnand, Lebanon Indiana, Danita (Ted) Cichecki, Colfax, Illinois; brother, Phillip Hinkle, Indianapolis, Indiana; many nieces, nephews along with many family members.  

 

Nolan was preceded in death by parents; brother Charles Hinkle; sister, Daisy Benedict; sisters in-law, Marguetta and Elizabeth Hinkle; brother in-law, Troy Klingele and his loving pets, Snowy and Dozer.

 

The family request donations to the charity of donor’s choice.

 

Family and friends will gather Monday, January 20, 2025 for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
