The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a speed limit reduction on State Road 75 on the south end of Thorntown.
Beginning on or after Monday, April 14, crews will update signage between Washington Street and just south of the Thorntown Fire House to reflect the new limit. The current 40 mph speed limit will be brought down to 30 mph in this location. INDOT crews will also be replacing the current school zone signage by Thorntown Elementary School to show the hours in which the school zone limit will be enforced.
At this time, the work is not expected to cause delays or lane closures in the area. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change. INDOT encourages drivers to be mindful of the new speed limit and to travel with caution through this area.
