Michael Allen Erp

Michael Allen Erp, 80, of Lebanon, died Thursday, November 14, 2024. He was born July 19, 1944, in Danville, a son of the late Donald Allen Erp and Della Mae (Proctor) Smock. Mike graduated from Danville High School with the class of 1962. He then served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from June 14, 1962 until May 13, 1969, where he was a flight engineer. After his honorable service, Mike returned to the Dover community where he farmed from 1969 until 1982. He was also a supervisor for General Motors Truck and Bus in Indianapolis. Mike owned and operated Erp Construction, along with Kitchens by Michael. He was an avid sports fan, especially high school, college, and professional football. Mike enjoyed participating in church activities, along with boating and golfing. He was a member of the Central Christian Church, the Lebanon Lions Club, and the Lebanon American Legion. Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie Suzannah Hodges of Zionsville and Elizabeth Ann (Matthew) Drury of Lebanon; grandchildren, Evelyn Kate Norfleet, Fletcher Thomas Hodges, Charlie Michael Hodges, Samuel Sheeler Drury, and Jacob Allen Drury; sisters, Cindy (Gene) Smock of Lebanon and Donna (Larry) Durr of Indianapolis; former wife, Patricia (Kelsey) Erp; and the mother of his children, JoAnn (Riddle) Camp. Mike was preceded in death by his infant son, Stephen Allen Erp and brother, John Arthur White. Final care of Mike has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
