Melinda “Moe” Shue, 52, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was born March 11, 1972, in Franklin, a daughter of Charles Hughes and the late Penny (Sweet) Hughes. Melinda was well known throughout Lebanon, having worked as a bartender at the Hi-Wa Hut and Zeke’s Club 39. She had also worked for the State Highway Department for several years. Melinda’s family was especially important to her and she loved her grandchildren. She also enjoyed riding on the motorcycle and listening to music and loved her cat, Hollow. Survivors include her father, Charles (Gloria) Hughes; maternal grandmother, Wylma Sweet; children, Matthew (Katelyn) Shue, Mitchel (Jessica) Shue, Marsha Shue, and Michaela (Andrew) Wade; sister, Kristie (Kevin) Talbert; and nine grandchildren. Family and friends will gather Monday, November 18, for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
