Michael Spears will become Zionsville’s new police chief, effective April 1. Spears joined the Indianapolis Police Department in 1982 and served as assistant chief and chief. Most recently he was Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department deputy chief of the performance and policy division. He replaces Chief Robert Knox, who is retiring after 35 years as a police officer and eight years as chief. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
