Lebanon Fire Called To A Water Rescue

At 3:54pm Friday Boone County Dispatch received a 911 call that a car had entered the pond in front of Liberty Dialysis located at 2485 N. Lebanon St. The car was partially submerged when Law Enforcement officers arrived. Indiana State Excise Officer Steve Toleos, LPD officers Ryan Williamson, Mitchell Sobek, Boone County EMS Paramedic Randy Schlegel, EMT Darrin Smith, and a Good Samaritan bystander attempted to rescue the victim. Due to the vehicle becoming completely submerged they were unable to remove the victim. When Firefighters arrived, they donned immersion suites and were able to remove the victim from the vehicle and water. The victim was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
