The Lebanon Community School Board Tuesday night approved the hire of Aaron Vaughn as new LHS Head Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Vaughn will transition into his new role with the Lady Tigers after being the LHS Boys Varsity Assistant Coach in June of 2013 and 14, and 2016-2024. In 2017-2020 Coach Vaughn was the Head Boys JV Coach. Prior to joining the Lebanon caching staff, Coach Vaughn was a walk on player at Ball State University in 2011 and was a member of the Ball State Boys Basketball Coaching staff as a Student Assistant. In addition, he has participated in assisting with Winthrop and Xavier University Basketball Camps and coached for two years at Western Boone High School. He has also volunteered with the St. Vincent Sports Performance NBA Draft Readiness program. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and passion for coaching the game of basketball and is determined to have a positive impact on the lives of many student athletes. He believes in the John Wooden philosophy of, “ A good coach can change a game, but a great coach can change a life.” He is extremely excited about transitioning from the boys’ basketball program to the girls and is very thankful for this opportunity. Coach Vaughn currently teaches at Lebanon Middle School and resides in Lebanon with his 3 children twins Ainsley and Archie (6 years old), Rilee (11 years old) and wife and former division one Basketball player Jordan.
