Janice Lynn Alexander

Janice Lynn Alexander, 81, passed away Tuesday morning, June 18, 2024, at The Restoracy of Whitestown. She was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on October 29, 1942, a daughter of the late Edward M. and Velma (Skaggs) Alexander. Janice was a graduate of Monrovia High School and had attended Indiana University. For many years, she owned and operated a restaurant in Lebanon called Soup’s On and later a catering and food styling business called Essential Ingredient. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Matriarch who loved her family dearly. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and fishing. Janice held memberships with the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, Tri Kappa Sorority, Lebanon City Council, and the Elks Club in Franklin. Survivors include four children, Jeffry “Jeff” Lind, Christy (Phil) Salyers, Chantel (Jim) Keppler, and Nicholas “Nick” (Erica) Lind and known as “Oma” to her ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by three sisters, Donna, Barbara, and Linda. No Services are planned at this time. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements. Memorials may be donated in her memory to the Alzheimers Association, Greater Indiana Chapter 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240 – 1554.
