The much-anticipated opening of Jamestown Pizza King, LLC is set for Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, bringing a beloved Indiana tradition back to the community. Located at 49 W Main St., Jamestown Pizza King reintroduces a cherished local dining option with the assistance of the Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) and its 180 Makeover grant program. The 180 Makeover grant enabled critical renovations for the reopening, covering essential improvements such as plumbing, HVAC, ventilation, and exterior painting. Jamestown Pizza King owners faced challenges with the building’s infrastructure, including the absence of a main water source. According to owner Michelle Standeford, “Bringing the Indiana Tradition of a Pizza King back to Jamestown was the primary goal. Pizza King had a presence in Jamestown for over 20 years and served the community with a great need. Without the Boone EDC, Jamestown and the 180 Makeover grant, this building would be sitting partially complete and still not able to serve the community.”
