James “Jim” Lee Maryfield

James “Jim” Lee Maryfield, 71, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born November 23, 1952, in Indianapolis, a son of the late Odie Maryfield and Phyllis (Dillman) Maryfield. On June 22, 1974, he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Catherine “Cathy” (Davison) Maryfield, at the Methodist Church in Lebanon; she survives. Jim was a lifetime resident of Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1971. He was employed as a concrete driver and concrete finisher at Lebanon Concrete Service. Jim was an SLA member at the American Legion. He enjoyed working on and driving his classic trucks and was a part of the National Street Rod Association. He was a loyal friend to many and was a child at heart and humorous storyteller. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Jim is survived by his wife, Cathy; two daughters, Tracey (Kevin) Wolsifer and Sara (Kevin) Lucia; three grandchildren, Sam Fitzgerald, Victoria “Vicky” Fitzgerald, and Audrey Lucia; one brother, Tony (Mona) Maryfield; and two sisters, Kathy Engle, and Sally (Bill) Hedges. The family will host a Celebration of life on January 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 1020 Hendricks Dr, Lebanon, Indiana. We will be raising our glasses in his honor, and we would like to preserve Jim’s memory with your help. Please write down your favorite story or memories of him and bring to the service to leave with the family. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
