Jack William Summitt, 82, of Lebanon, died Thursday, November 21 at his residence surrounded by his family. Jack was born September 13, 1942 in Indianapolis, the son of the late Jack Benjamin and Martha (Buckler) Summitt. He graduated from Washington High School in Indianapolis and graduated from Indiana University. Jack married Pam McCloskey Wethington on July 6, 2002 and that same year they purchased the Hi Wa Hut bar in Lebanon. Owning and operating the bar allowed them to make great friendships with the many loyal patrons. He was an avid pool player, enjoyed watching the Colts and IU sports, and enjoyed attending car shows and when he was younger enjoyed playing volleyball, enjoyed going on cruises, going to the casinos and spending time at their home in Sarasota, Florida. He is survived by his wife; children, Chuck (Sandy) Summitt of Indianapolis, David (Julie) Summitt of Bloomington, Amy (Bob) LeClare of Ashville, NC, Beth (Patrick) Aasen of Indianapolis, Rusty (Shannon) Wethington of Lebanon, Tony Wethington of Ohio, and Tammy (Tony) Vichkon of Lebanon; grandchildren, Zach Campbell, Nick Lee, Luke (Latessa) Wethington, Logan Wethington, Jordan Wethington Joseph LeClare, Sarah (Tyler) Bennett, Adam Aasen, Sean Aasen, Samantha Aasen, Dane Summitt and Carter Summitt; step- grandchildren, Abram and Finn McHenry; great-grandchildren, Keyton, Landon, Kyrian, Ellie, Haven, Lynnox, River, Daisy, Clara, Wyatt, Madaline, Finn and Johnathan; brothers John (Debbie) Summitt and Dan (Connie) Summitt; Sister Diana (Keith) Johnson; Half-brother Kenny (Cathy) Combs; Stepsons Ryan Rady and Brandon Rady; Sister in law Sheila (Chico) Bear and Diana (David) Leffler; Brother in law John McCloskey, Mark (Sandy) McCloskey, and Daniel (Angie) McCloskey; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, December 7 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Strawmyer and Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
