Investigation Leads To Arrest Of Darlington Woman

On September 20, 2024, Trooper Bradley Howell, alongside his Field Training Officer, Trooper Farmer, concluded an investigation resulting in the arrest of Rebecca Scarbrough, 48, of Darlington, on charges related to the dealing of methamphetamine.

The investigation began when Trooper Howell gathered information suggesting that methamphetamine was being distributed at a residence on Main Street in Darlington, IN. Upon arriving at the location, Trooper Howell encountered Scarbrough. Through further investigation, he developed probable cause to believe methamphetamine was present inside the residence.

Trooper Howell subsequently applied for and was granted a search warrant for the property. During the search, suspected methamphetamine, pills, and drug paraphernalia were discovered. Scarbrough was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

All substances recovered will be sent to the Indiana State Police Laboratory for analysis to confirm the nature and quantity of the drugs.

1. Dealing Methamphetamine – Level 5 Felony

2. Possession of Methamphetamine – Level 6 Felony

3. Possession of a Narcotic Drug – Level 6 Felony

4. Possession of a Legend Drug – Level 6 Felony

5. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Class A Misdemeanor

Trooper Howell was assisted by other troopers from the Lafayette Post and the Linden Police Department.
