The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) recently issued a “Finding of No Significant Impact” (FONSI) for the 52@65 project. The FONSI concludes the environmental review process and indicates that the proposed project will have no significant impacts on the quality of the natural and built environment. As part of the environmental review process, the design team evaluated how the 52@65 project would impact waterways, wetlands, endangered species, historic resources, and social and economic factors. The FONSI, as well as responses to public hearing comments, are available online and at the Lebanon Public Library, 104 East Washington Street, Lebanon, Ind. The design team, led by American Structurepoint, can now finalize the project design. The next step will be to accept bids from construction contractors and vendors, which is anticipated late 2024. Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2025.
