Humane Society For Boone County Welcomes New Executive Director

The Humane Society for Boone County is happy to announce that Kristin Pulice has been hired as the new Executive Director. She began her administrative duties on October 15. Dr. Amy Rader, a veterinarian and President of HSforBC’s Board of Directors, said Pulice is “very motivated to immerse herself in HSforBC’s mission and become a part of our Humane Society family.” Her professional background in social work focused on helping and advocating for victims of sexual assault and human trafficking. Pulice founded Indiana’s sexual assault and human trafficking coalition, and developed programs and funding sources to help connect victims with specialized services. She also spearheaded major statewide awareness events aimed at educating the general public and diverse professions about these heinous crimes. “I am excited to join HSforBC’s exceptional team of Board members, staff and dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs and cats in our care,” Pulice said. “I look forward to continuing to expand our efforts to ensure that dogs, cats and pet parents in the Boone County community have necessary resources. Together we will build a strong community dedicated to the welfare of animals.” She is a volunteer with Medical Mutts, and also operates a pet sitting and dog walking business.
