Gregory L. McCracken

Gregory L. McCracken, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on November 19, 1946, in Indianapolis; a son of the late Maurice and Doris (Richardson) McCracken.

He graduated from Speedway High School in 1964. Gregory honorably served in the National Guard. He worked in sales at Combs-Gates Lear Jet Division. He also held positions at Robinson Ossip Optometry and most recently worked in maintenance at Connection Point Christian Church. Additionally, he was a school bus driver for Zionsville and Brownsburg schools.

On February 24, 1979, he married Nadine McCracken in Springfield, Tennessee; she survives.

Gregory attended Corinth Church in Brownsburg. He enjoyed playing cards and board games.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine McCracken; son, Josh LeScott McCracken of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Hailey Grace McCracken of Indianapolis; four nieces; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside services will be held at a later date. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
