Frankfort Students Excell At Science And Engineering Fair

Frankfort Middle School

students competed over the weekend at the Hoosier State Science and Engineering Fair in Indianapolis. Out of a field of one hundred of the best projects in the state, two of our students received recognition!

Eighth grader Kloe Castaneda placed third overall in the competition. She also won sponsor awards for the most outstanding psychological sciences project from the American Psychological Association and most outstanding demonstration of STEM excellence by a minority student from the National Association of Black Chemists.

Fellow eighth grader Jayden Sallee received a sponsor award for excellence in engineering from the Yale Science and Engineering Association. Marlana Giesler, Sadie Sheets, and Salvador Mejia-Santos also competed.

Congratulations to each of our students who represented Frankfort's academic excellence in such a positive way!
