Frankfort Police Assist Lafayette Police

Around 8:39 a.m., the Frankfort Police Department was asked by the Lafayette Police Department to observe for a stolen vehicle out of their jurisdiction. The driver was also alleged to have stolen firearms in the vehicle. At approximately 8:52 a.m., Lieutenant Chris Salaba located the vehicle.

A felony traffic stop was conducted by FPD officers. Two occupants were detained. One was released while the other was transferred to Lafayette PD officers.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division assisted FPD.

No further information will be released by the Frankfort Police Department.
