Ernest Jarrett, 92, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. Ernie was born Sept. 16, 1931, in Indianapolis, and was raised by Forest and Lorena Coy of Elizaville. He married Mable (Maxwell) Jarrett on Nov. 23, 1957. Ernie graduated from Kirklin High School with the class of 1951, and attended Denison University in Granville, OH. He retired from RCA Consumer Electronics in Indianapolis. Survivors include his wife, Mable Jarrett of Lebanon; sons, Ernest Jarrett, Jr. (Judy) of Williamsburg, VA, Mike Jarrett (Debbie) of Lebanon, David Jarrett (Susan) of Montgomery, TX, and Glenn Jarrett (Diane) of Industry, TX; six grandsons, three granddaughters, three great grandsons, and three great granddaughters. Ernie was preceded in death by one great granddaughter and several brothers and sisters. Final care of Ernie has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
