Drought Designation Lifted

For several months Indiana has been under a drought with not a lot of rain falling in the latter months of 2023. In January, the state got a lot more rain, averaging five inches in most places throughout the state. That rain has led the National Weather Service to lift its drought designation for the state. Meteorologist Jason Puma says there was enough response in the ground around the state to warrant lifting the designation.
