Dennis Charles French, 69, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his home in Granger, Indiana, surrounded by his family. He was born December 14, 1955, in Lebanon, Indiana, the son of the late Wilbur E. and Wanda Sue (Spear) French.
He was a 1974 graduate of Lebanon High School. Dennis attended Indiana University and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He, his brother, his father and mother previously owned French’s Dispos-ALL in Lebanon from 1976-1988. He later retired having worked for several road construction companies as a paving operator after 30 years.
Dennis was a member of the Lebanon Eagles Aerie #2062, Lebanon VFW Post 910, and the Sons of the American Legion Post 113.
He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Dennis loved watching Indiana Pacers games with his grandson, Elliot, and dancing in the kitchen with his granddaughter, Trudy. In his free time, he enjoyed the game of pool, listening to music, and staying on top of politics.
Those left behind include his son, Clifton (Josine) French of Granger, Indiana; grandchildren, Elliot and Trudy French of Granger, Indiana; step-daughter, Courtney (Jake) Harreld of Fishers, Indiana; brother, Doug (Stacy) French of Lebanon, Indiana; four step-grandsons; nephew, Sam French of Fort Wayne, Indiana; niece, Baili (JC) Hart of Whitestown, Indiana. A host of great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins, and friends also survive.
Memorial Services are planned for 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Inurnment will take place privately with family at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
