Debra S. Hinton, 72, passed away November 4, 2024, at Homewood Heath Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on August 13, 1952, in Indiana, a daughter of the late Clarence and Loretta “Faye” (Schimmel) Smith. Debra graduated from Dover High School. On December 15, 1974, she married Roger Lee Hinton in Thorntown. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2018. Debra was employed at Crawford Industries where she eventually retired. She was an avid sports fan who took great joy in cheering loudly for her grandchildren. Debra also enjoyed taking road trips, being outdoors, reading, attending car shows, and watching hallmark movies. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Rachel D. (Brad) Dunn of Lebanon and grandchildren, Alexandria (Nathan) Venis of Lebanon and Ross (Claire) Wood of Lebanon. In addition to her parents and husband, Debra was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Thompson and Katy Henderson Mitchell. Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with her care.
