Debra Jean “Debbie” Kremer

Debra Jean “Debbie” Kremer, 66, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born December 5, 1957, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Harold “Jean” and Barbara (Walters) Shoemaker. Debbie married Sam Kremer on Oct. 23, 1977, and he preceded her in death March 9, 2015. Debbie graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1976. She enjoyed being outdoors and feeding and watching her birds. She was an avid gardener and belonged to the Boone County Extension Homemakers Garden Club. She dedicated many years volunteering at the Boone Co Fair with her Homemakers Union Club. She spent several years as the club president and even held the office of county president at one time. She was active with the Open Show at the fair as a committee member and an exhibitor. Debbie loved serving others through her love of baking, card making, and listening ear. She was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for the single ladies class. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She cherished each moment spent with those she loved. Survivors include her two children, Ashley (Eric) Spray of Lebanon and Jacob Kremer of Lebanon; sisters, Kathy Shoemaker of Lebanon and Nancy (Brian) Vaughn of Thorntown; brother-in-law, Toby Kremer of Lebanon; and sisters-in-law, Sherry Robinson of Sheridan and Dana French of Attica. In addition to her parents and husband, Debbie was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Craig Davidson. Family and friends will gather Saturday, July 20, for a funeral service at 10 a.m. with visitation to follow from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Debbie will be laid to rest at Mts. Runn Cemetery in Zionsville. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Boone County Extension Homemakers, 1300 E. 100 S., Lebanon, IN  46052.
