Rossvile, Clinton Central and Frankfort Schools are notifying their communities about a nationwide Cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, the student information system. PowerSchool is used by all three districts. On December 28, a breach allowed an unauthorized party to access and export limited student and teacher data.
Powerschool has confirmed that the incident was not a ransomware attack but rather a targeted data theft.
Each impacted school district will provide additional information as it becomes available, including resources to assist families in responding to this incident.
