Danny Dale Summers, 68, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2020 at his home in Lebanon, Indiana. He was the youngest of nineteen children, born in Lebanon, on August 26, 1951 to the late Joseph Roscoe and Colletta “Lettie” (Clements) Summers. Danny attended Pinnell school. On October 23, 1976, he was married to Joyce P. (Scott) Summers in Brownsburg, Indiana; she survives. Danny worked as a gear cutter for Rolls-Royce and Allison General Motors. In retirement he drove the special needs bus for the Lebanon Community Schools. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, music and spending time with his family, and grandchildren. Survivors include: Wife: Joyce Summers – Lebanon, Indiana Daughters: Vicki K. Moore – Lebanon, Indiana Daughter-In-Law: Angela Summers - Lebanon, Indiana Grandchildren: Ethan Carpenter Gareth Carpenter Jordan Kern Destinee Summers Maynard “MJ” Summers Kashia (Dan) Cutler Veronica (Eric) Taylor Cole Miller Klayton Moore Talen Dickey Harlow Summers Cameron Summers Great Grandson: Knox Taylor Brothers: Robert (Darlene) Summers of Salem Richard Summers of Lebanon Sisters: Mardella Mauger of Florida Wilma Dickerson of Lebanon Ada Marie Moody of Greensburg Nancy Wethington of Cincinnati, Ohio Sister-In-Law: Linda Summers Many Nieces and Nephews In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Dale Summers, Jr. and Adam Summers; thirteen siblings; and two great grandsons, Desmond Adams Kern and Braeson Lee Meyers. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation is planned from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana. Memorials may be made in Danny’s memory to the Boone County Cancer Society.
