Carol Jeanette McQuinn Dull was born in Clinton County on July 21, 1933 to John Owen McQuinn and Ruby Francis Evans McQuinn. She passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children on October 14, 2023. Following graduation from Forest High School in 1951, Carol graduated from Purdue and Butler Universities and earned a master’s degree in elementary education. On August 30, 1953, Carol wed Robert E. Dull. They were blessed with four children within ten years. Her thirty-five-year career as a third-grade teacher at Washington Township and Thorntown Elementary Schools impacted many students who remember her fondly as their favorite teacher. She was an active member of Mechanicsburg Christian Church and Boone County 4-H as a volunteer in many roles. Over the years Bob & Carol opened their home to many foreign exchange students. She had a contagious smile, which she freely shared. Carol delighted in spending time with her family including her eleven grand-kids and thirteen great grand-kids. She is survived by her children, Jane (Allen) Mohler of Lebanon, Tom (Kerry) Dull of Thorntown, Robin (Jeff) Williams of Greens Fork, and Bill (Tracy) Dull of Zionsville; grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea) Mohler, Kyle (Jessica) Mohler, David (Alyssa) Mohler, Elizabeth Mohler (Levi Boaz), Erin (Jake) Lewis, Lucas (Dana) Dull, Nicholas Williams (Jessica Craig), Evan Williams, Joshua Dull, Sophee Dull, and Cho Dull; great grandchildren, Alister, Arlen, and Adlai Mohler, Sebastian and Isabelle Mohler, Lily, Maverick, and Scarlett Mohler, Josie Lewis, and Eden, Kinsley, Macie, and Solomon Dull; sister, Elinor Maxine Ogle and sister-in-law, Joy Ann McQuinn. Carol was preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Morris (Wilma) McQuinn, Charles McQuinn, and Leon (Phyllis) McQuinn. Family and friends will gather Monday, Oct. 23, for visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. with Pastor Larry Sims officiating, in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Carol will be laid to rest at Buntin Cemetery in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mechanicsburg Christian Church or Boone County 4-H.
