Bruce Leonard

Bruce Leonard, 62, of Lebanon, passed away Sep. 30, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born Aug. 9, 1958, in Long Beach, CA, a son of Marie D. (Gisler) Leonard and the late Ralph C. Leonard. Bruce served in the U.S. Air Force from 1977 until 1981. He drove a school bus in California, and continued when he moved to Lebanon. Bruce also worked at Kroger in the produce department and was known lovingly as “Produce Bruce.” Bruce enjoyed working with his hands, building model cars and working on his truck. He also enjoyed collecting hot wheels and stuffed monkeys. Bruce’s friends were important to him, and he always loved going out to eat with them or sitting around the campfire. He had a generous heart and loved his family dearly. Survivors include his mother, Marie of CA; cousin, Mary also of CA; adopted family, Rob Herrmann, Billie J. Herrmann, Mary DeWitt, Nancy Anderton, John Delisle, Jason Goetz, Matthew Doke, Elijah Doke, Jenny Adams, and Josh Freeman all of Lebanon; and his Kroger family. The family would like to thank Dr. Liebross and staff for their wonderful care and support, along with Comfort Keepers Nurses, Courtney and Amy, and Paradigm Hospice Nurses, Danielle and Sam and Aide, Vicki for their loving and great care. Family and friends will gather Sat., Oct. 3, 2020 for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
