Half of Indiana’s 92 counties are now classified as red according to the latest map released by the Indiana State Department of Health. Forty-five counties are now designated red, the highest level of community spread of the coronavirus. This includes Clinton, Hendricks and Montgomery counties. Yet, Boone County remains at the orange level to the surprise of local health officials. Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Tom Ryan said there have been weeks, earlier this month, when the positivity rate has been more than 15% while the following week was 12%.
