Mark your calendars now! Boone County Extension Homemakers will be offering several interesting First Tuesday programs this fall. We kick off the fall sessions on August 6th with Make Ahead Freezer Meals, recipes and ideas on meals to keep your freezer stocked with home-prepared “convenience” food. September 3 focuses on Putting Your Gardens to Bed, best practices to close the season of gardening, both vegetable gardening and other, such as perennials and annuals. October 1 will be Outdoor Planters & Window Boxes, ideas for fall and winter outdoor planters and window boxes. First Tuesday Programs are free and open to anyone, but you must register by calling the Purdue Extension Office at 765-482-0750 or email booneces@purdue.edu. The event will be held in the Boone County Farm Bureau Inc. Community Building on the 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon Indiana.
