Dr. Gerald E. “Gary” French, 94, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 26, 1932, in Lebanon, a son of the late Floyd E. and Minne M. (McCoy) French. Gary married Jackie Muehlbauer on December 28, 1957 and she died on May 1, 2000. The Indiana Department of Transportation announces an access closure that will impact State Road 32 at County Road 200 W. near Lebanon. Beginning on or after Monday, August 3, INDOT contractors will close off access to S.R. 32 at this location. The purpose of the closure is for the ongoing roadway realignment project. This portion of construction is anticipated to last until November but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
