Over the next few days, you may see Zionsville Fire Department crews out on local waterways conducting ice rescue training. They are taking advantage of the current weather conditions to practice and refine the skills needed to respond safely and effectively to ice and cold-water emergencies. Training locations include Royal Run & Village Walk. This hands-on training helps ensure firefighters are prepared to protect the community when it matters most.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department would like to recognize Sgt. Joy Stewart-Maxson on 10 years of dedicated service. Sgt. Stewart-Maxson serves in our Administration Division. According to Sheriff Harris, “Maxson’s professionalism, leadership, and commitment help keep our agency running smoothly every day. We are grateful for her continued service to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Boone County.”

Details on a ten-billion-dollar data center campus in Lebanon being built for Meta have been unveiled by state officials. A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday inside the Farmers Bank Fieldhouse, and Meta vice president of data centers Rachel Peterson says it will be their 27th center in the U.S. In all, 13 buildings will be constructed over the 15-hundred acre property. Roughly four-thousand construction jobs will be created.
