Robin D. Puckett, 58, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers, Indiana. She was born in Indianapolis, on December 8, 1967, a daughter of Stanley D. and Sue D. (Jeffries) Puckett. Robin graduated from Westfield High School in 1986 and worked part-time as a clerk at Target in Westfield for 20 years. The Boone County Prosecutor's Office has filed criminal charges against Ethan Cunningham following an investigation conducted by the Boone County Sheriff's Office into an animal cruelty complaint involving a Frankfort Police Department K9 handler. The Sugar Creek Historical Society has joined a committee of dedicated folks to install a monument honoring Thorntown’s early settlers buried in the historic “Colored Cemetery”. The cemetery, located on 6770 N. 825 W in Thorntown is the only remaining physical reminder of Thorntown’s Sugar Creek Community, an early rural African American settlement. $6,500 is needed to build the concrete monument and bronze plaque in the cemetery.
