The western Boone Lady Stars softball team has punched their ticket to the state finals by winning the Kokomo Semi state. The Stars defeated Central Noble in the morning semifinal, overcoming a 3-0 deficit to win 6-3, scoring all six runs in the final two innings. In the championship game the Stars were able to defeat Andrean 8 to 6. This is the first Semi State title for Western Boone softball. The Stars will face Tecumseh on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Purdue's Bittinger St

The Zionsville Eagles traveled to Kokomo Saturday to face the Harrison Raiders. The Eagles came out on top winning 10 to 4. Zionsville will now prepare to face Lake Central Saturday in Semi-State play. the game will be at the Gary Steel Yard. Time to be announced. Former Clinton County Sheriff James “Mike” Michael Hensley, 78, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at Wesley Manor in Frankfort. Hensley was elected as Sheriff of Clinton County and honorably served for 8 years. He went on to serve 8 years as Chief Deputy under Sheriff Mark Mitchell. After retirement, Hensley was elected a Clinton County Councilman, serving from 2013 to present. A private family service will be held for Sheriff Hensley.
