Julia “Julie” Musgrave, 69, of Thorntown, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born May 31, 1957, in Niagara Falls, New York, a daughter of the late Richard and Phyllis (Van Hook) Uhler. Julie graduated from Western Boone High School with the Class of 1975. She worked for Kauffman Engineering, Titus Bakery, and later served as the Postmaster of the Thorntown Post Office, from which she retired after many years of dedicated service

Lebanon Police report an unnamed 17-year-old male is in a juvenile detention facility on charges of intimidation, criminal recklessness and possession of a firearm by a minor. The arrest stems from an argument that happened on July 2 in Lebanon. The alleged victim said that the armed male pulled out a gun during their argument and fired a single round into the air. Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies made the apprehension of the suspect.
